AMMAN — A Sudanese delegation is
expected to arrive in Jerusalem in the coming days for talks regarding the
details of the peace agreement being negotiated between Israel and Sudan,
according to a report on Tuesday.

The delegation will be led by a
high-ranking Sudanese official.
Israeli visit to KhartoumThe anticipated visit comes after a
recent visit by Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen to Khartoum, where he met
with Sudanese officials, including Foreign Minister and the head of the
Sudanese Sovereignty Council, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan.
If the agreement is signed, Sudan will become the fourth country to normalize relations with Israel as part of the Abraham Accords.
During the visit, Cohen discussed
the draft peace agreement and expressed Israel's willingness to support Sudan's
development efforts in various areas, such as security, food and water
resources management, agriculture, and medicine.
The potential peace agreement would
mark a significant development in the relationship between Sudan and Israel,
which have been in a state of diplomatic rupture for decades.
If the agreement is signed, Sudan
will become the fourth country to normalize relations with Israel as part of
the Abraham Accords.
In a statement after his return from
Khartoum, Foreign Minister Cohen said the peace agreement is expected to be
signed this year, following the transfer of power to a civilian government in
Sudan.
