Ayla Participates in the First Jordanian Sustainability Expo
"Ayla Oasis" will participate in the First Jordanian Sustainability Expo (Eco-Jo Expo), which kicks off at King Hussein Gardens tomorrow, Thursday, and will continue until next Sunday, under the patronage of the Ministry of Environment, Greater Amman Municipality, and the Jordanian Green Building Council. The expo will cover the four main environmental sectors: (energy – water and food management – waste management and recycling – green industries).
The technical team at Ayla Oasis has completed all preparations for the opening of its dedicated pavilion at the expo, ready to showcase Ayla Oasis's experience in various sustainability sectors, reflecting its commitment and focus on establishing developmental projects and pioneering initiatives in this important field.
The Sustainability and Excellence Department at Ayla Oasis, which includes experienced and skilled professionals in managing and operating the Ayla Oasis project, will present video and live presentations to the attendees, participants, guests, and visitors of the expo. Key highlights include:
Solar energy projects with a capacity of up to 9 megawatts.
The coral reef planting project, marking the first time a Jordanian investment project integrates marine environmental conservation.
The use of smart electric scooters within the oasis.
Implementation of environmental, health, and safety standards (Blue Flag).
Ayla's restaurants that have received the Green Key certification.
Energy conservation workshops and training for supporting sea floor cleaning campaigns.
Compliance with the highest safety standards since Ayla Oasis's establishment in 2002.
Ayla Oasis also features a world-class international golf course, designed by renowned golfer Greg Norman. The course, which spans approximately 800,000 square meters of green spaces, includes 18 holes with a par of 72 and adheres to sustainable environmental practices. It harmonizes with the unique environment of Ayla through its beaches and scenic landscapes, complemented by a dedicated academy for training and camps, featuring a 9-hole course and professional golf instructors.
Located in Aqaba on 4.3 million square meters, Ayla Oasis is built on a vision to create a sustainable destination that highlights Aqaba's environmental, social, and economic attributes, supporting Jordan's ambitious economic growth strategy. All of Ayla's environmental and community practices are based on a single premise: "We are all responsible."
The First Jordanian Sustainability Expo aims to enhance awareness and participation across all segments of society, including educational institutions, civil society organizations, and both government and private sectors. The expo also seeks to encourage everyone to play a role in promoting sustainable practices and raising the banner of environmental sustainability for a better future for all.
