Orange Jordan Hosts Training to Enhance Capabilities of Persons with Disabilities across Various Areas

In line with its strategic endeavors aimed at fostering social inclusion of persons with disabilities through paving the way for a diverse and inclusive society, Orange Jordan hosted training sessions as part of the “Orange Training Program for Inclusive Empowerment- First Cohort”. 40 persons with hearing, visual, and physical disabilities participated in the 5-day training. With the purpose of ensuring social inclusion on the societal and professional levels, the training revolved around building their capabilities and skills across various fields to boost their competitiveness in the labor market aligning with the global trends.

Participants were trained on several topics, namely change management, emotional intelligence, handling work pressure, AI tools, digital transformation, CV building, giglancing to pursue a freelance-basis career and updating their LinkedIn profiles. The training's outcomes will be mirrored in participants being more engaged and productive, thanks to exchanging experiences, ideas, and opinions.

The training is part of Orange’s umbrella to empower persons with disabilities “Differently abled, definitely enabled”. Under it, Orange organizes a series of integrated programs and initiatives. Commenting on this training, Orange commended the participants' eagerness to acquire new skills and expand their knowledge, which will ultimately enable them to make more meaningful contributions to their communities, boost their productivity, and unlock their full potential.

Furthermore, the company emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in supporting national initiatives aimed at creating a more inclusive society, where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

It is worth noting that Orange Jordan adheres to the law that encourages private sector companies to employ persons with disabilities. It also implements a number of initiatives in this field, including publishing vacancies on the page of the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, “MNUBSOM BIL Ashra” initiative which is an internal charter that translates the management’s commitment to including people with disabilities in the workforce, #MarhabaDiversity and much more. All this is added to the nationwide PWD-related programs and activities.
