AMMAN — The
Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh, on Wednesday
reviewed the progress of the Kingdom’s digital transformation programs as part
of the services axis within the Public Sector Modernization Roadmap.

Minister of
Digital Economy and
Entrepreneurship, Ahmed Hanandeh, briefed the Council of Ministers on the
achievements made under the Jordan National Digital Transformation Strategy and
its implementation plan.
Hanadeh also highlighted the steps
that will be taken in 2023 and the coming years to fully digitize government
services.
Sanad applicationDuring the session, according to the
Jordan News Agency, Petra, Hanandeh also emphasized the
e-government portal
Sanad app and its e-services, which includes a digital ID, e-files,
e-signatures, and e-payments. These services he said, allow citizens to access
multiple services and documents through a single platform.
The minister reported that over 200
e-services and features have been launched on the
Sanad platform for various
government departments and ministries, including the police, judiciary,
customs, land registry, energy, trade, industry, and youth sectors.
He added that approximately 2,400
services from 50 government institutions have been documented and completed,
with 700 services approved for digitization and work underway to approve the
remaining ones.
Government service centersHanandeh during the meeting also
discussed the comprehensive government service centers that are set to be
established nationwide.
The first pilot center launched in
Amman's Mqablain area in September 2022, and hosted 15 government institutions
and providing 45 government services.
The Cabinet also appointed Sami
Kamel Daoud as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Jordan Post Company.
