patients, Khaberni reported.

Of the 13 fee-related complaints, the
JMA filed away three after determining that the doctors in question had adhered
to the established pricing, while the remaining 10 complaints involved price
discrepancies and required resolution in the form of refunds, head of the
JMA’s Media Committee Dr Hazem Al-Qarrala said.
The refunds were audited by
specialized technical committees, and were determined based on appropriate
pricing mechanisms, he said.
Most doctors in Jordan are “trustworthy”,
and the medical sector “is recognized for its competence”, Qarrala said,
pointing to the minimal number of fee-related complaints.
The association, he added, endeavors
to ensure that all parties receive their just dues, with “open doors to anyone
who feels that they have been treated unjustly”.
