Floods claim life of man in Khan Al-Zabib

AMMAN — The Civil Defense Directorate and the Madaba Police Directorate, with the help of an international search and rescue team, recovered the body of a man who was reported missing on Tuesday evening in the Khan Al-Zabib area of Madaba Governorate, local media outlets reported on Wednesday.اضافة اعلان



The media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said that search and rescue teams combed an area of over 20km before finding the man’s body inside a pool of rainwater.

Torrents overturned a passenger bus and swept it off the Desert Highway on Tuesday.



Civil defense personnel rushed to the scene and rescued 26 passengers, according to Ammon News.

The PSD called on the public not to approach puddles of rainwater as they can be dangerous, and not to take the risk of traversing roads with high water levels, whether in vehicles or on foot.
