PM to CNBC Arabia: Jordan’s IMF program ‘on track’

AMMAN — Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh told CNBC Arabia that Jordan’s program with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is “on the right track”, according to a tweet posted by the news outlet on Wednesday.اضافة اعلان

Khasawneh highlighted the Kingdom’s attractive investment environment, where Jordan enjoys economic stability and has maintained a 4-percent inflation rate, Ammon News reported.

In terms of future developments, the Prime Minister told CNBC Arabia that the Kingdom aims to “double the gross domestic product".

Khasawneh arrived on Tuesday in the Swiss resort town of Davos to take part in the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2023 meetings.

On Wednesday, as part of his participation in the forum, he held talks with political and economic leaders, heads of major international institutions, businesspeople, and representatives of regional and international organizations.
