AMMAN — The
Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) said on Wednesday
that it is preparing to operate successive land convoys in the coming days to
all areas affected by the
earthquake in Syria, according to Ammon News.

In a
statement, the organization said a plane loaded with relief items, food, and
medical supplies flew to the Syrian city of Latakia on Wednesday.
The
organization, in coordination with the Jordanian Armed Forces-Arab Army, began
routing relief aid to Syria and Turkey as of Tuesday, in a bid to help the
injured and the families of the victims of the
earthquake that struck large areas of both countries, in implementation of Royal directives.
A second
plane will be sent to other affected areas in Syria, and another plane will
also be dispatched Turkey, the statement said.
The
relief planes are loaded with rescue equipment, tents, logistical and medical
materials, relief items, and food aid, and are transporting Jordanian rescue
workers on the international search and rescue team and doctors from the Royal
Medical Services.
