AMMAN — The
Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC) and the Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) on
Tuesday signed an agreement to increase the Indian company’s imports of
Jordanian phosphate from 2.1 million tonnes to 3 million tonnes per year.

According to the
JPMC, the agreement will
increase its competitiveness in the global phosphate market, as well as its
exporting capacity and sales, positively impacting its finances and ability to
attract new partners.
The
JPMC has become a popular phosphate
provider for many countries, as well as a key exporter of high-quality phosphate
fertilizers and phosphoric acid.
