AMMAN — Within Jordan’s Draft
General Budget Law for the Year 2023, JD742,000 have been allocated
for maintenance projects, new classrooms, and technical studies supervised by
the Ministry of Education in Jerash Governorate, according to Al-Mamlaka TV.

Odaibat said that the budget allocation is distributed among 25 items, with a focus
on preparing technical studies to add classrooms to six main schools and a
school in the Zukreet area.
In addition, he highlighted a plan to
establish the
first school in the governorate to integrate students with
disabilities into standard classrooms, with the help of grant from USAID.
The school will accommodate 750 students
and will be equipped to be accessible for people with disabilities. “It is now
in the study phase," Obaidat said.
The
Jerash Education Directorate has
completed its projects for the year 2022, and received two schools, Dhahro
Al-Sarou School and Al-Iskan District School, through a grant from USAID,
according to the director.
The governorate currently has 181 public
schools and 34 private schools, he said.
