AMMAN — The current weather depression
impacting the Kingdom has brought precipitation levels to 8.1 billion cubic
meters (mcm), or 84 percent of Jordan’s annual average, the Jordan News Agency,
Petra, reported.

Heavy rainfall during the 24 hours between
midday Tuesday and midday Wednesday channeled some 2.052mcm into the Kingdom's
dams, according to official figures.
Dam storageWith the downpours, the storage of dams has
reached 114.14mcm, or 40.66 percent of the total storage capacity of 280.7mcm,
as of Wednesday morning.
The Ministry of Water and Irrigation
called on citizens to harvest rainwater or connect
rainwater gutters to sewage
networks.
Rainfall across governoratesDuring the recent rainfall, Amman recorded
20.8 millimeters (mm) of rain, while Balqa recorded 19.8mm, Madaba 16.5mm,
Zarqa 8.8mm, Jerash 17mm, Mafraq 9.7mm, Irbid 18.2mm, Ajloun 19.9mm, Karak
16.7mm, Tafileh 14.3mm, Maan 14.8mm, and Aqaba 12.5 mm.
